Local Band feature
Each month, Perth FM will feature local bands on the website. You'll be able to find out all about them and where to download their music! Perth FM are proud to support local talent!

Supporting local bands
Perth FM 106.6 is looking to make stars of local musical talent and get local bands on the air. Do you play rock, pop or dance? Do you want to feature on the air at your local station, the one that's Purely Perth? Simply follow the instructions below.
If you know anyone in a band; friends, family or colleagues then spread the word and get them to check here. Then listen out- Fridays at 5.45 starting in April.
PLEASE FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS TO THE LETTER
Do you qualify?
1) You or at least 50% of your band must reside full time in the PH1 or PH2 postcodes. This is important as we will check.
2) Your music should primarily be rock, pop or dance.
IF NOT, WE SAY GOODBYE AT THIS STAGE!
You do qualify? Then great. What you need to do is:
Have just one song ready- your best one. It needs to be an mp3, 128kbps, 44.1khz, stereo or mono. It must be to these standards or we cannot accept it. We don't accept CDs through the post.
This single audio file (you must only send one) should not exceed 6Mb or it will be rejected.
In your email to: Localbands@perthfm.co.uk you MUST list the following:
Your or your band's name.
The name, address inc postcode and landline phone number of everyone in your band or if it's just you- then just you!
A paragraph about you and your band, where you play, record, what you've done etc. Keep it brief. If we need any more info, we'll be in touch.
MAKE SURE YOU DO EVERYTHING THAT IS ASKED, AS THOSE PROVIDING ALL REQUESTED INFO WILL TAKE PRIORITY.
